Ceasar's Palace
Las Vegas, Nevada
Overall, a must visit spot if you are in Vegas! There are so many things to see and do here! We didn't stay at the hotel but came for the casino. We chose this casino in Vegas because that's where an episode of Friends took place. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we discovered that Friends was never filmed here - they used a prop set. Oh well, we still had a great time exploring around. The biggest disappointment, though, was the casino itself. We signed up for the rewards program to get the bonus. I got $10 for the slots, and my husband got $10 for floor games. Well, my husband discovered that all the tables have a $50 minimum to play, so he never used his $10 sign up bonus. I put my card into a machine that I didn't understand how to use, and my $10 credit was gone, and I still don't understand how. We tried a few of the slots but found them dumb and pointless. Most of the slots didn't really have a rhythm or reason. You just put money in, and maybe you win, and maybe you don't. They didn't do a great job explaining the odds or what was happening. We each blew $100 quickly and stupidly and with no satisfaction of fun along the way - just confusion. So I really don't recommend the casino experience unless you know what you are doing. It definitely isn't user-friendly for beginners.
However, after the casino, we walked around the mall area, checking out the shops and restaurants. I must say that it was quite impressive in it looks and architecture! It was so elaborate and high end that I joked that I wasn't sure if I could afford to breathe the air here! Ha! It was really fun to walk through, though, and appreciate the grandeur of it all!
