Dijon Seafood & Grill - Fort Bragg, California

We stayed one night in Fort Bragg and searched for a place for dinner and decided to try this. However, we honestly almost didn't go because it was more challenging to find. We didn't realize it was in another building. It wasn't until we saw the sign on the side street where it was. Once entering the building, it was quite charming! The restaurant was simply decorated with some art and plants - I loved the green accents! The architecture was very historic looking and very nicely keep up! Our waiter was very friendly and did an excellent job taking care of us! I didn't catch his name, but he's a keeper! We or ordered a bottle of white wine, and he offered to bring a bucket of ice to keep it chilled! It was a very nice touch!

The food and drinks itself were ok. I was hoping for a bar that served mixed drinks, but the offerings were only beer or wine. It was fun that they had a local wine, but I would have preferred a mixed drink. The menu was a bit limited in options, but alright, overall. The calamari was ok, but I've had better. The Clam Chowder was served with an actual clam, so that was a very nice touch. Our burgers were just ok. The burger was more round rather than flat, so it took away from the overall taste. Personal opinion, but it should complement the toppings rather than taking away. Because the burgers were more round than flat, it made the bun feel huge. I had to pick away at the bun to enjoy the burger that was there. Also, the bun was quite dry. Preferably, it would have been lightly toasted and buttered for more tasty experience.

Overall, though, because of the atmosphere and great service, I would recommend this place to others!

*Note to add that I was impressed with the locally sourced ingredients as much as possible! That is a great touch!

** I was also very much enjoyed the light dinner music that was played. It was a very nice touch as well!

***the 3.99% credit card fee felt a bit excessive, in my opinion. I know many restaurants have started to charge a processing fee, but this was the highest I have encountered yet. Seems like more than what most card processing companies charge.

Parking

There was a parking lot in the back, but we parked on the street. It was a quiet time when we visited.

Kid-friendliness

This is more of an upscale place. I wouldn't bring kids unless they are well-behaved and aren't picky eaters.

Wheelchair accessibility

The main access was a nice stair case. I'm not sure if the building has an elevator access. I would call ahead to be sure.
