MSP Humphrey Terminal 2

This is a review for the Humphrey Terminal 2

We always fly with Sun County Airlines, so we always fly out of the Humphrey Terminal. I love everything about this airport except for their TSA process. We have flown out of here many times, and more often than not, the lines for TSA are ridiculously long. Only once in our many time flying out did they have both TSA check points open for people. Twice, we almost missed our flights out because of the TSA lines. The first time, we would have missed our flight, but there were so many other passengers stuck in the TSA line that Sun County graciously waited for all of us. Even with that, we still found ourselves all out running to our gate to make sure we got on the plane. This last Sunday, we got to our gate one minute before it closed. The only reason we even made it there was because they moved us up the line because we had a baby with us. I felt bad for all the poor, exhausted souls we got to pass up and wondered how many hours we would have waited if we had to wait with the others. I've never been to another airport that I've waited in TSA lines like I have here.

If not for the horrible TSA operation here, this would otherwise be a five-star airport in my book. It's very clean, spacious, and well maintained. Because it's on the smaller side, it is very easy to navigate and get through quickly. They also have good signs to point you to where you need to get to. If you have a carry-on only, you can easily deboard the plane and get to the parking ramp in as little as five minutes!

There are also plenty of shops and restaurants to grab a snack a bite to eat and last-minute items while waiting. There is even a small play for kids to get their wiggles out!

So again, I overall love this airport for ease of use. TSA just needs to change up their process of getting people through better, so they are waiting in line for hours and struggling to make their flight.
